Where are you spending the biggest part of your time? What tasks are you doing during the day?
These are important questions to always be asking yourself…
If you’re bogged down with data entry in your CRM, for instance, then you’re investing your time in $5/hour tasks. And let me tell you, that’s a HUGE waste of your valuable time. 🙁
Those are the tasks that need to be outsourced to others.
Look, I get it, you may have to do those computer tasks early on before the deals start bringing in cash flow. But as soon as you can, hire a VA and start outsourcing.
See, marketing, delegation, and automation have always been my mantra for a successful business. (FYI: I see lots of people forgetting to do the delegation part. Whatever you can’t automate, you should then delegate.)
And as far as I’m concerned, the only automation you personally need to be using is for voice memos to your VA (like Voxer)—giving instructions on what their tasks are.
You’ll also need a private email just for the two of you, so your VA can let you know the tasks that are on the schedule each day. They should be keeping you organized—not the other way around.
If you’re the one who talks to motivated sellers, just Voxer all the notes to your VA so they can enter it into Podio for you.
My point is… you just need to create simple systems, so the work (like marketing and lead follow up and sending out offers) gets done for you—in spite of and without you.
Just remember the 80/20 rule…
80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your efforts… think about what would happen if you spent 100% of your time on your 20%?
BOOM.
Do what makes you money. Have VAs do the rest.
Spend your time wisely—on the $500/hour work… not the $5 tasks.
This is a business, not a hobby.
Get out of your CRM. And get out of your own way!
Focus on marketing, delegating and automating—and you can run your business from anywhere in the world. Like I do.
