Hey there, so I know you know the phrase: “You either win or lose.”
But, I was at a workshop where I heard a different version of that—and I like it A LOT.
“You either win or learn.”
Man, what a great perspective!
See, we were talking about getting over your fears and failing forward and not being afraid to make mistakes…
You’re never going to get anywhere if you just sit and study and do course after course and don’t take action.
So what “win or learn” means is that you never lose… you simply learn from mistakes.
It’s about making progress as opposed to reaching for perfection.
So don’t be afraid of the seeming failures… just be determined to “fail forward faster.”
In other words, the key is to always be taking action. Don’t let fear of making mistakes paralyze you.
You can’t steer a parked car. :-/
You will never do a deal if you afraid of the “what ifs.”
Everyone makes mistakes. We’re human. (And sometimes, failure is the best teacher.)
But remember, you don’t have to do this alone…
Which is why it’s so important to have a coach or a mentor—who can help prevent you from making really serious mistakes. They’ve been there and they know what to avoid.
So…
Don’t think about winning and losing…
Think about winning and learning.
