Hey you, News Junkie, I have a challenge for you today.

Turn off the news. I know, especially with where our country and the world are at today, it’s easy to watch 24-hour news channels on our TV, cell, and computer.

Yes, it’s important to be informed. But at some point, you need a break. Turn it off. You just don't need the stress. You don't need to be thinking about that ALL the time.

While world events are important, there are other important things you could be thinking about that directly impact you, your business, your family.

Read this: “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown.

It teaches about focusing on the essential things and removing all the nonessential things out of your life.

Now, I’m not saying you always have to think about business and real estate… but spend less time on the nonessential things that waste brain energy.

Consider this: What if we fed our brains with more uplifting stuff — maybe that’s family time or spiritual/faith issues.

And then for business — what if you started thinking about:

  • some new marketing campaigns
  • a new way to make offers
  • do some creative follow up with sellers

Maybe less “if it bleeds, it leads” news and more podcasts about business… about ideas…  bigger ideas.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

Be a great mind thinker.

I tend to pray about the terrible stuff in the news and focus on the positive things in my business and my family.

Be smart. Start thinking bigger and better.
