Are you finding it hard sometimes to stay motivated?
I’m pretty sure we’ve all experienced that at one time or another.
So, I want to share with you a list of 5 actions you can take to help you stay motivated. I actually got this info from my buddy and fellow investor Cody Sperber.
- Take it 1 day at a time.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed thinking about what the future holds, right? For me, I can easily get stressed out about things I can’t control…
So I just focus on today.
And I try to make today the best day possible.
- Surround yourself with positivity.
Not only do you need to have a positive mindset and attitude, but the people you surround yourself with do too. Plain and simple.
If you have to, politely say bye to Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer.
And I’ll take it a step further…
If you’re listening to podcasts or reading books, make sure it’s not a bunch of negativity that you can get sucked into from those sources too.
- Create a vision board.
While I haven’t personally done this… I do put my goals in Evernote.
But I know lots of people who have made these and it’s worked out well for them.
- Create SMART goals.
SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely
These are goals that are very specific to what you want to do.
And it’s not based around feelings—like, don’t set a goal of “I want to be happy.” That doesn’t really apply to any of the SMART goals.
- Reward yourself.
So, I reward myself with haircuts and massages. Ohhh man, nothing beats a scalp massage.
Find a little something to indulge yourself with. Work hard, play hard, right?
Okay…
So, what’s really cool about these 5 actions is that you can begin all of them right now. Today. There’s nothing stopping you from working on each one of these. I encourage you to do just that.
Here’s another cool thing…
I’ve actually got 5 more of these super helpful actions to help keep you motivated. Stay tuned for those in my next email.
Now, get to those first 5. 🙂
